October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – from the 1st to the 31st. It’s an annual campaign that saves countless lives by increasing awareness of the disease, and encouraging women to take steps towards early detection. The world’s biggest charities gather round to raise funds to power research into breast cancer’s causes, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is also a time when extra support, guidance, love and care are offered to sufferers of the disease.
